6:159
As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, thou hast no part in them in the least: their affair is with Allah: He will in the end tell them the truth of all that they did.
Yusuf Ali writes,
Divide their religion: farraqu: i.e., make a distinction between one part of it and another, take the part which suits them and reject the rest; or have religion one day of the week and the world the rest of the six days; or keep “religion in its right place,” as if it did not claim to govern the whole life; make a sharp distinction between the secular and the religious; or show a sectarian bias, seek differences in views, so as to break up the unity of Islam.
