5:8

O ye who believe! stand out firmly for Allah, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just: that is next to piety: and fear Allah. For Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do.

5:9

To those who believe and do deeds of righteousness hath Allah promised forgiveness and a great reward.

5:10

Those who reject faith and deny our signs will be companions of Hell-fire.

5:11

O ye who believe! Call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you when certain men formed the design to stretch out their hands against you, but (Allah) held back their hands from you: so fear Allah. And on Allah let believers put (all) their trust.

Yusuf Ali explains that during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad, opponents of Islam repeatedly attempted to harm him, his followers, and the message he conveyed. Although these adversaries often appeared to possess greater material strength and worldly advantage, their efforts ultimately failed because they were opposing what he describes as the truth established by God. According to Yusuf Ali, such outcomes illustrate a broader principle: opposition to truth may seem powerful in worldly terms, yet it ultimately proves ineffective when confronted with sincere faith and divine support. He further emphasizes that believers should respond to such experiences with humility, recognizing God’s favor and mercy while maintaining gratitude for His guidance and protection (Yusuf Ali, 1934).
