3:124-125
Remember thou sadist to the Faithful: “Is it not enough for you that Allah should help you with three thousand angels (Specially) sent down? “Yea, – if ye remain firm, and act aright, even if the enemy should rush here on you in hot haste, your Lord would help you with five thousand angels Making a terrific onslaught.
It is not unreasonable to assume that God could send angels to assist the forces of righteousness on the battlefield. The Old Testament promises that G od will s end hornets to h elp drive the enemies of the Children of Israel away! See Exodus 23:28
