And we ordained that he refused suck at first, until (His sister came up and) said: “Shall I point out to you the people of a house that will nourish and bring him up for you and be sincerely attached to him?”…
The phrase “for you” may be understood as meaning “on your behalf.” In this context, Moses benefited both from being nourished by his own mother and from being raised within the royal household. This arrangement allowed him to receive the advantages associated with royal upbringing, including access to education and instruction in the knowledge and traditions of Egyptian society. At the same time, the situation provided reassurance and comfort to his mother, who was able to care for him while he remained under the protection of the palace.
