They said: “Ill omen do we augur from thee and those that are with thee”. He said: “Your ill omen is
with Allah; yea, ye are a people under trial.”
The absence of immediate punishment for wrongdoing should not be interpreted as divine approval of evil. Rather, it reflects the opportunity granted for repentance and moral reform through the mercy of God. In this sense, individuals remain under a form of trial in which they are given time to correct their behavior. What some may interpret as misfortune or ill omen is, in reality, the just consequence of their own actions, and the ultimate judgment and punishment for such deeds rest with God.
