(As to those) before them, not one of the populations which We destroyed believed: will these believe?

Commentators note that even the miracles described in earlier narratives did not succeed in convincing many disbelievers of the past. Consequently, the presence of miraculous signs alone cannot guarantee that those who persist in disbelief will accept the truth. Miracles may occur, but they do not necessarily remedy unbelief when individuals remain unwilling to acknowledge the evidence before them
