It is We Who will inherit the earth, and all beings thereon: to Us will they all be returned.
Material possessions are transferred from one individual to another over time; when a person dies, their property is inherited by others. Life and death occur by the will of God, and ultimately everything that remains after physical death returns to Him, the original source and ultimate owner of all things
