Islamic Web Library is a resource center for Islamic information. Growing up, as a student of Quranic studies, I felt that coming to terms with difference of opinion among the Islamic scholars is challenging for the common Muslim. I realized that though the information common Muslims need is available; it is quite scattered among scholarly sources. The purpose of this site is to see it altogether for anyone to study.

All the information on this site is from sources available on the internet that are either outdated (do not have a copy right infringement policy) or are available on the internet from various blogs, videos, and books that can be bought very cheap from sources such as Amazon. I have provided references for both; and they can be accessed at the bottom of the page in which the quotation is made. I do
not own any of the material I have quoted on this site; it is free for study and is readily available on the internet in their respective menu.

The menu containing the Quran commentary is the most complex. The approach in this Quran Commentary is to follow the traditional or classical scholars in their general interpretation of the Quran. Where there is a specific interpretation or scientific interpretation, I have quoted relevant modern scholars who explained the verses that specific way, who but nonetheless follow the general traditional and classical approach. I can assure that this tafsir is completely scholarly and
only Islamic sources have been quoted. Where there is no commentary on a specific verse, the reason is one of the following three:

The meaning is obvious or self explanatory or has already been explained in another verse

I do not know the meaning of that verse

I could not find a scholarly resource that showed its meaning clearly

Recently I have integrated a new function on the site. Those who are less willing to read PDFs have the following option available:

.I have converted the verses of the Quran into individual videos that are 3min long or less. These videos are a summary of the main concepts I have explained in the Tafsir. They can be found in the “Verse by Verse Tafsir Videos” section and are in order from surah 1 to 114. The information on this site is free to use and download as needed. I have worked painstakingly to create this platform for the Muslims. Feel free to browse and comment as you wish; but, please share the knowledge responsibly and with good character.
